Straight answers
+–What happens with no signal?
The field app works fully offline: create and edit customers, jobs, estimates, invoices, photos, and signatures with zero connectivity. Changes sync when a connection returns. A few things that inherently need a live connection — Tap to Pay card processing, sending an SMS — are clearly disabled offline instead of spinning or silently failing.
+–How much does it cost?
$59 per tech per month, or prepay a year and get 2 months free ($49/tech/mo effective). Office staff are free and unlimited. No setup fee, no tiers, no add-on gates — the price above is the whole price.
+–Is there a contract?
No. Fieldnetics is month-to-month. There is no multi-year agreement and no termination fee. Cancel anytime from the Stripe billing portal in Settings.
+–Who owns my data?
You do. Every customer, job, estimate, invoice, and photo can be exported as CSV with one click, at any time, with no support ticket.
+–Is SMS really included?
Yes — appointment reminders, on-my-way texts, and customer replies are included, with a fair-use limit of 500 texts per tech per month. That's several times what a busy shop sends for job notifications. It's job messaging, not a marketing blast tool.
+–What's the founding shop offer?
The first 20 shops lock in $39 per tech per month — for life. The rate never increases as long as your subscription stays active. It applies to everything Fieldnetics includes today; if we ever add a genuinely usage-heavy extra (like a phone line or an AI receptionist), that's priced separately for everyone, founding shops included.
